Department Overview:
The Editorial & Programming Team focus is to ensure the
delivery of brilliant daily experiences and is responsible for content
appearing across the Yahoo! network. Our leitmotif is "the right thing, in the
right place, at the right time". The team supports the need for localization
and production tasks that are critical for the right product experience. The
team is also responsible for defining the editorial voice and ensuring that it
is performed in all markets.

Key
Responsibilities:

* Support and maintain content acquisition and
quality by implementing video feeds and co-operating with Yahoo!'s many content providers.
* Become the key video point of contact for the editorial team.
* Develop an expert knowledge of both new and
existing Yahoo! products, tools
and services in order to instruct, tutor and provide support within the editorial team.
* Uploading video content
and integrating video feeds for editors.
* Determining
content gaps and awareness of current trends. Attending daily editorial
meetings to highlight timely video content.
* Meeting original
content needs of the editorial team in a short time scale.
* Project managing
video creation process from idea, through creation and to on-site
implementation.



Requirements:

·
Solid experience
on video production and video editing
·
Experience of setting
up a basic talking heads interview. This would involve basic lighting, audio
balancing and setting up camera and tripod
·
Proficient in the use of video editing tools - especially Adobe Premiere
and Final Cut pro. This will include adding voiceovers and watermarks
·
Familiarity with Video
CMS systems.
·
Knowledge of the video encoding process
·
Building the back-end architecture to support video on all editorial
properties.
·
Liaising with third party clients to guide the integration of new video
content.
·
Understanding of how video is used across the web.
·
Excellent organisation skills with great
attention to detail.
·
A knowledge of web content, product operations and
how the internet works.
·
A good understanding of HTML and XML
·
Familiarity of working within an editorial team.
·
RSS-Feed and Social Media insights.
·
Great interpersonal and communication skills to
manage and engage with multiple teams in different countries.
·
