Vice President, Post Production
Creates, implements and monitors for changes the schedules and budgets for all WB distributed films.
Working with both domestic and international distribution delivers the necessary film and/or digital elements required for domestic delivery including the US, Canada and Spanish speaking US. Additionally, delivers the necessary film and/or digital elements and sound mixes required for subtitling, translating and dubbing for the international territories.
Negotiates deals and hires editors and editorial staff including post production supervisors. Supervising editors and Sound editorial staff, and Music editorial. This generally involves around 15-20 staff per film.
Initiates and approves all bids and payment to outside vendors including film labs, digital facilities, title designers, sound facilities, and equipment providers among others.
Proactively anticipates budget, schedule and pipeline changes and updates studio.
Attend Director's Cut, Audience Recruit and other screenings as required.
Implements and attends various post production meetings as required.
Travels to location as needed to set up editorial pipelines, services, cutting rooms, labs facilities and telecine. Travels as required to audience recruit locations.
Takes leadership for the creation of film post budget and then constantly monitors and supervises them (generally in the range of $5-10 million) from greenlight thru delivery.
Liaises with all departments required to deliver material to departments within WB and to insure proper and legal delivery of the film including ad/pub, GBM, credit administration, distribution, rights and clearance, creative, marketing among others.
Approves and takes delivery of the film when finalized.
Prepares reports as necessary and required by the studio.
Implements and coordinates all necessary anti-piracy policies as determined by the studio anti-piracy group and the current and ongoing needs of technology.
Monitors and directs the receipt of dailies and arranges dailies to be available and screened by the proper studio personnel and filmmakers.
Schedules all MPAA screenings for Warner Bros. produced and released features.
