Overview: Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategic communications plan for Golf Channel and its brands. Counsels executives on strategic issues and serves as primary spokesperson on behalf of the company.
Job Responsibilities: Work directly with senior executives at Golf Channel and NBCUniversal to develop the company's messaging - and consistently communicate those message points to media. Work with key staff members to develop traditional and digital media programs that assist in the continued growth of Golf Channel's brand image Create and develop relationships with key media and influencers in the golf, sports, television, entertainment, business and cable trade environments. Oversee relationships with the communications departments of partner organizations Develop and manage all outside media agencies enlisted to support business plan goals Oversee public presentations to a variety of interested parties Advise Golf Channel senior executives on matters of internal communications Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Required Skills: Minimum Requirements: 10 years experience in the communications field Experience working with television, digital media, ratings, advertising and cable industry Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office suite)
