University Choir Director/Assistant Professor
Master's degree required; however a Doctorate preferred. Evidence of successful choral directing on the College/University level required. Other teaching experience (private or high school) considered. Successful candidate should present strong performance record, knowledge of current choral techniques and applied voice methodology, keyboard skills sufficient for performance as well as organizational and interpersonal skills. Should be a member of a professional music organization (ACDA). Director of the University Choir must be able to teach choral conducting and other courses dependent upon candidate's expertise. Maintain creative and scholarly activity related to teaching assignments. Participate in recruitment of voice majors. Provide music for university functions. Present recitals/concerts and collaborative performances on and off campus.
