Technical Consultant / Manufacturing Applications

Responsibilities:                                       

• Incident management – 1^st level support and provide support to CoE or vendors in resolving incidents and/or perform manual Operating Procedures


• Change and release management


• Proactive monitoring


• Perform start-up and shut-down checklists / procedures at start / end of production


• Perform incremental system upgrades


• Run daily health checks


• Keep the system running


• Troubleshoot application and peripheral hardware (i.e desktop, handscanners, printers)


• Problem Management. Drive root cause analysis to closure. 


• Change Management, plan changes, create change requests, perform change.  


• Development and maintenance of QA procedures and practices


• Production support

These are the systems or applications they may be responsible for:

• PT - PM&C - Powertrain Production Monitoring and Control system.   Cimplicity software package used for Monitoring and Control


• FlexNet – Quality Containment and accountability software package from Apriso


• UD & C – Upload, Download and Compare of data from plant floor devices


• QS - Stat – Statistical information from the plant floor machines


• EPS – Electronic Pull System, uses wireless pendants


• PPS – Production Pull System, used to track material relief


• Maximo – Maintenance management system


• ETQ – Excellence through Quality


• PAS – Powertrain Assembly System

Overall, the responsibility for the onsite system support will be provided by these application support people.  They will bet trained by the central deployment resources on the use and function of the systems. 

Experience:

• 3-5 Years Experience


• Willingness to provide long term, on-site support


• Experience in manufacturing environment


• MCSE Certifiied


• GEFanuc Cimplicity experience

• Service oriented, customer focus


• Knowledge of automotive industry is a plus


• Knowledge of PLCs, industrial communication and manufacturing automation is a plus


• ITIL Certified


• Knowledge of security practices and procedures


• Ability to execute change and release management


• Experience in dealing with incident management


• Ability to provide training


• Experience with Wintel operating environments


• Knowledge or experience with Apriso application suite


• Knowledge or experience with MDT Mass


• Knowledge and experience with ISO standard practices and procedures
