Systems Integration Specialist
Title: Systems Integration Specialist Location: US-TN-Franklin Other Locations:
Develops technical strategies and architectures for systems or enterprise-wide practice solutions. Develops and recommends solutions and strategies for technical solutions based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs and existing systems infrastructure. Participates in sales and proposal presentations in addition to ongoing team account activities. Often viewed by customers as a consultant and performance is typically measured by billable hours.
Responsibilities will include performing middleware application configuration and administration, liaison work with product engineering teams to ensure best practices and liaison work with Thomson Information Technology groups to ensure OS and hardware availability. Project work and analysis will include implementation of best practices across Windows and Unix environments supporting a number of proprietary and commercial middleware applications. * Perform or coordinate all required monitoring activity for the supported networks and systems, including operation of utilities to support customer system and data implementations. Responsible for maintenance and emergency response outside of normal business hours as necessary to maintain general network health and/or upgrades.
* Maintain ownership of product support incidents and follow proper escalation processes to meet or exceed target resolution timeframes. Responsible for involving resources outside of Operations when necessary to resolve incidents (engineering, IT, etc.).
* Develop familiarity with client-supplied data and TH-created toolsets used to process data and investigate and resolve data processing team issues to ensure internal data processing systems are available to staff
* Collect and analyze system usage statistics and engage in capacity planning required to manage the supported systems to accommodate growth and to support ongoing engineering initiatives.
* Implement and manage security processes (both technical and procedural) to ensure uninterrupted operations and to comply with Thomson security and data privacy policies. Comfortable initiating regular client contacts. * Ability to self-start, multi-task and manage conflicting priorities. * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Preferred Skills: * Experience Managing Oracle DB systems * Experience with Unix server administration preferred but not required * Working knowledge of ETL middleware applications such as Informatica, Talend, and AppWorx .
