Must perform 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support of all computer hardware.
Works under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are frequently non-routine such as adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment, to meet special needs.
Installs and supports client and server software using working knowledge of standard MS software.
Works independently to support Dish Network specific applications using judgment and professional knowledge to solve problems.
Supports IT related activities assigned by the corporate entities such as IT Service Desk, Data networks, NT Admin, Telephony/VOIP and/or other information systems groups.
Provides updates, status, and completion information according to published procedures.
Enters and completes problem ticket information via the approved tracking system.
Logs all repairs and services performed.
Orients trains and leads lower level and other Support Engineers.
Provides weekly status reports to the IT Manager on current conditions and potential trouble areas.
Maintains and recommends enhancements to electronic and written documentation.
Update SOX process documentation quarterly as required, complete quarterly SPOQ questionnaires as required and perform/monitor required SOX controls as described in Tutor documentation.
Assist the regional manager with tasks as assigned.
Manages overall information technology function. Including but not limited to; system analysis, programming, telecommunications, and operations/support.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent, related degree where appropriate, and/or 2 - 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Windows XP and MS Office. A+, MCSE and other related certifications where appropriate are a plus.
