Job Title Summer 2012 Production Intern Auto req ID 9951BR CBS Business Unit CBS Interactive Division/Station Business Department / Business Unit CNC Location California - San Francisco Job Description This intern will assist with all facets of audio and video production and post-production. On the technical side responsibilities include: grip/camera assist on field shoots, camera/teleprompter for studio shoots, digitizing media, Final Cut Pro video editing, plus audio podcast and voice over recording, editing and mixing. On the editorial side responsibilities include: researching story ideas and communicating in writing and on the phone with potential participants and guests. This internship will include administrative duties such as transcribing interviews, updating spreadsheets and wikis and distribution of videos to partner sites such as YouTube and iTunes.
*Must successfully pass a background check.
Required Skills/Experience - Current student with major or degree in audio, video, film production or related field - Knowledge of basic techniques in video shooting, digitizing, editing and encoding - Experience in an audio studio environment and familiarity with digital audio editing techniques – Final Cut Pro skills - Web Skills (ex.,familiarity with video files and codecs, CMS tools) - Basic PC skills are important (ex. familiarity with MS Office, Excel, Outlook, Google) - Good organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize - Strong written and verbal communication skills -To be considered, you must be currently attending an accredited college with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. We also hire graduate students for internships. Must successfully pass a background check.
