Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale projects* Oversee project team members working on the project* Review project deliverables and lead the design, resource, identification, and project approach decisions* Implement quality assurance processes to ensure a successful execution of the project* Manage scope and mitigate risk across the project* Effectively communicate relevant project information to the project, company, and senior leadership teams and set expectations upward regarding project health and delivery* Lead and direct the Project Team* Manage external partners* Monitor and report on the project budget to ensure the project is delivered as planned* Appropriately escalate issues, risks, concerns, and dependencies* Continuously analyze the quality, financial, date, and resource data points through-out the life of the project and adjust the Project Team's focus and effort accordingly* Identify opportunities and capitalize on them from a design, time, resource, risk, etc. standpoint* Develop relationships with the Project Team members, IT Management, and Senior-level Management * Effectively lead project and product teams as well as business sponsors and senior leadership through the project life cycle with successful results* Develop relationships with project team members, business sponsors, and senior management* Develop solutions to manage project issues, risks, dependencies and effectively communicate solutions to team members and management* Successfully manage communication regarding issues, risks, and expectations throughout the organization* Develop and oversee project budgets and cost benefit analysis, which are coordinated with and communicated to Finance, IT, and business department management* When necessary, negotiate and manage external partners supporting the project* Perform other duties as assignedExperience and Education: * 7+ years of experience working as a Project Manager and/or relevant experience in managing multiple, concurrent projects* Must have managed project budgets* Project Owners or Managers were VP and above* Consistently demonstrate successful leadership skills* 3+ years of experience in facilitating efforts of 'blended' teams (internal IT staff; 3rd party systems integrators or vendors; internal business / operations staff; and other resources)* 3+ years of demonstrated experience in managing contracts and Statements of Work (SOW) for 3rd party vendors and consultants* Demonstrated experience with various project execution and management methodologies including AGILE methodologies and supporting techniques, packaged system implementations, and traditional specification-driven approaches* Must be experienced in recognizing areas and symptoms of project risk* Must be able to 'push back' on team members about discrepancies and escalate issues and risks as well as drive resolutions to ensure transparency in project reporting* Must be highly skilled in MS Project* A solid understanding of SharePoint is a plus* A Bachelor's Degree* PMI Certification is strongly desired* A background in financial services; lending experience will be a plus Required Skills and Abilities: * Ability to build a team and productive team dynamics through collaboration and fairness* Must be very organized* The ability to effectively articulate technical and business aspects; verbally and in writing is essential* You must be fluent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook as well as Visio* You must be comfortable in a fast-paced and cutting edge environment* Knowledge of the financial industry is required* Understanding of Web-based solutions and client server architecture
