The ACI Director for Value Realization and Clinical Business Intelligence encompasses program development, deployment and on-going management of the VR - CBI Program. The Program provides a value framework, and associated tools and measurement capabilities to realize benefit from the development and implementation of clinical systems. At the core of the program is collection of clinical data (EHR and other clinical applications), aggregation and reporting of that data to improve quality, manage performance, and gain accreditation; and to capture reimbursement for services and qualify for incentive payment programs, such as the CMS Meaningful Use Program.
This position provides oversight to the VR - CBI Program including: 1. Value Framework - Defining and integrating a value model into clinical systems implementation planning (EHR) that advises the design and build plans, and associated processes to enable effective data capture intended for multiple uses, principally for value measurement. 2. Value Measurement - Establishing metrics for value measurement, identifying data sources and collection methods and designs reports. Performs measurements including estimates, baselines and results measurement. Helps define and guide how reported results are used. 3. Clinical Business Intelligence - Capitalizing on clinical systems implementation and other clinical business systems data sources to define data elements, user requirements, use cases, and report design in response to stakeholder (user) needs. 4. Organizational Leadership - Developing collaborative relationships and networks within Tenet to support complementary initiatives that can advance and benefit from the VR - CBI Program, and support achievement of corporate goals. Engaging all levels of organizational stakeholders to build awareness of the value Tenet expects to realize with each new implementation or update, and secure a commitment to achieving that value. Providing tools, coaching and mentoring to position staff to be successful in bringing value to initiatives engaged in VR.
Communication and Education - Tracking and interpreting national healthcare policy debate, viewpoints, and legislative processes impacting Tenets ability to realize value out of clinical data and systems. Assessing and communicating the implications of these activities to Tenet, and ACI projects (e.g., IMPACT). Coordinating internal and external communications concerning value realized in applying VR - CBI programs, including but not limited to marketing data and messaging, publications, and speaking opportunities. Sustaining Tenets value realization effort through education to understand the required changes in processes, culture, and governance necessary for realization of the benefits.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in nursing or related healthcare field. Masters preferred. Active nursing or other clinical license. A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in health analytics and 10 years of progressive leadership with management experience in clinical implementations, healthcare quality or other related areas is required. Candidate experience should include a balance of clinical knowledge, healthcare business, clinical decision support, health analytics, strategic and operational planning, and data warehousing experience. Must have good managerial skills; ability to navigate complex organizations in a diplomatic fashion; possess effective conflict resolution skills; and have the ability to work within a heavily matrixed organization.
