Responsibilities Responsibilities Job Summary: Support strategic communications, media, and community and crisis relations projects at Baltimore, Calvert, Ginna, and Nine Mile Point. The candidate will partner with the site communications leaders and station leadership, as well as Baltimore communications, to ensure a consistent, standard communications is occurring across the Fleet. The candidate will support the strategic, two-way internal plant communications and public relations strategy in partnership with the plant leadership, other local employees, and corporate communications. Plan must support local business goals and objectives. This includes creating, developing, writing and editing relevant messaging such as key performance indicators, safety and environmental messages, and leadership communications. Tools can include such tools as face-to-face forums, e-newsletters, intranet, videos, social media tools, and others. Crisis communications, employee recognition/engagement, front-line supervisor communications, and feedback systems must be key components of the strategy. Develop external communications, community relations and media relations strategies, including developing key messages, talking points, press releases, Issue Briefs, fact sheets, and community calendars. Includes building effective relationships with local editors and reporters, community leaders, strategically placing CENG leadership on select local boards of directors. Properly train the site VP, plant general manager, and other local plant supervisors to serve as local spokespeople with media, community organizations, industry groups, and public officials on local issues. Candidate must be comfortable with all facets of the media and serve as a spokesperson as needed. Make recommendations and develop solutions to best position local leadership and key messages to tell the CENG story internally and externally using a multitude of strategies, tools and vehicles. Partner with CENG teams such as Safety, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Government Relations, and others. Ensure all internal and external stakeholders are appropriately informed. An effective notification system is a must. Serve as an active team member with other Fleet communications personnel. As required, develop partnerships with key leaders at Constellation Energy, EdF, UniStar, and various industry groups such as INPO, NEI and EPRI. Qualifications Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Education/Experience: Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of related experience. Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute the life-cycle of a project --Ability to effectively manage competing priorities --Ability to handle numerous projects and tasks at once --Ability to work in a team environment --Ability to motivate, encourage and recognize employees helping them understand the business plan where they are part of the solution --Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to speak with authority and knowledge. Strong presentation skills. --Ability to influence, educate, inform, and engage employees at all levels. --Ability to marshal resources across a diverse organization to accomplish goals.
