Position Overview

Continue and maintain knowledge of applicable law, procedures, and policies (including periodic updates from Subpoena Compliance Manager, Legal Department, and other Cricket Departments) to make a determination of the legal and procedural sufficiency of each legal request in order to protect the corporation from legal liability and to protect subscribers from illegal seizure of protected information.
Review and determine the legal sufficiency of each subpoena and National Security request received using good judgment and decision-making based on knowledge attained and for the purposes described in #1 above.
Create and maintain record of subpoenas received in specialized departmental database, in order to protect Cricket from legal liability.
Review, determine, and decide which documents and records to provide in response to legal process, using good judgment and decision-making based on knowledge attained and for the purposes described in #1 above.
Respond to requests of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to explain records received for forensic use, using good judgment and decision-making based on knowledge attained and for the purposes described in item #1 above.
Respond to requests of 911 centers and LEA's with regard to emergencies, such as hostage situations, kidnappings, suicides, child abductions, Amber Alerts: Determine legal sufficiency of request, determine best method to provide appropriate information, work with LEA and any other necessary departments to provide that information, explain and help interpret the information as needed, using good judgment and decision-making based on knowledge described in #1 above, in order to protect subscribers, protect Cricket from legal liability, and serve the community.
Conduct investigations of customer and employee fraud and other improper conduct involving the use of the Cricket network in conjunction with Human Resources Representatives, Customer Operations Managers, Retail Store Managers, Accounting Department, Property Management Representatives, and Technical Field Services, NOC, New Technology, RF Engineering, and Customer Relations personnel, using good judgment and decision-making based on knowledge attained as described in item #1 above. Prepare and distribute invoices to LEAs for subpoena responses, and (b) receive and process payments received from LEAs (in coordination with company's accounting department).

Qualifications:
AA Degree or Paralegal Certificate. Bachelor's Degree in any related field, preferred. 1-2 years of telecommunications experience, preferred. 1-2 years of prior experience with any law enforcement agency, or with a legal or business office with duties involving direct responsibility of compliance with laws or regulations applicable to the employer.
