Position Overview
The HR Specialist will provide front-line Human Resources (HR) services as a team member of the HR Service Center (HRSC) supporting Cricket Communications employees across the country. The HR Specialist is responsible for processing human resource transactions, responding to phone and email inquiries relating to human resource policy and procedures, benefits and pay, and directing employee questions and problem resolution to the most appropriate sources, as necessary.
Focuses on delighting our employees by providing professional and courteous service to every employee with an emphasis on first contact resolution. .Answers employee and leader inquiries relating to HR benefit plans, policies, procedures, and programs; refers complex issues to more senior HR staff, as appropriate. .Receives, reviews, and processes information pertaining to new hires, payroll, benefits and personnel actions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established policy and procedural and legal requirements. .Responsible for the entry of personal employee data into various HR systems to include the call management system and applicant tracking system (ATS). .Researches and resolves problems involving incomplete, inaccurate, or non-compliant documentation. .Maintains employee personnel files (both electronic and paper) per legal record retention requirements. .Assists in analyzing data and identifying trends in employee inquiries. .Develops and runs routine HR reports and other documents. .Adheres to established processes, procedures, and policies. .Maintains a high level of confidentiality in performing all of the above roles to enhance the credibility and positive perception of the HRSC. .Supports and exhibits the vision, mission and values of the company. .Collaborates with all functional areas within the HR organization: HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Education & Development and Total Rewards. .May perform special assignments or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
.1 - 2 years HR experience .AA/AS, BA/BS in Human Resources or related field .Experience providing excellent customer service in responding to employee questions and requests .Ability to develop rapport, open communication, and a collaborative work environment with HR team, employees, customers and vendors. .Demonstrated track record of maintaining a positive, customer service-oriented attitude in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment. .Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work in a team environment. .Highly developed and practiced attention to detail and follow through on projects. .Ability to maintain the integrity of HR by adhering to strict confidentiality and respect of all employees. .Strong skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; embraces the use of web-based technology .Employee relations experience a plus .Familiar with Ceridian, UltiPro or other like web-based ATS and HRIS products
