Description: Our client is seeking a Software Implementation and Support Consultant. Their primary role will be to provide direction and technical support for to new and existing clients at the pre- and post-sales points. The role involves working with new and existing clients to implement the transportation software and support their ongoing use of the system. You will be working on-site with clients requiring regular travel throughout North America and the UK. The Implementation Consultant is the main point of contact for providing support for technical issues and is responsible for dispersing client feedback to the appropriate departments. An average implementation involves a combination of time on-site and office/home based preparation. Pre-Sales Support involves gathering of test data and providing sales presentations/Web demos to help the lead Sales team in presenting the results back to prospects and addressing any associated technical questions.
Our client is a leading innovator of Vehicle Routing and Scheduling software. They provide solutions for operations ranging from ten trucks based at a single site to hundreds of trucks running out of multiple locations. Their applications include multi-user and multi-site distribution planning as well as home delivery and real time tracking and monitoring. The software products are technically multi-faceted in order to handle transportation operations in all sectors. They serve a number of industry verticals including: manufacturing, distribution, retail, consumer products, technology, wholesale and service management. VOLT is an equal opportunity employer.
Requirements: Candidates should possess a College degree combined with advanced PC skills, a good coherent approach to problem solving and experience in the distribution industry. This role requires:

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A consultative approach to problem solving.
* Experience of organising and providing training courses.
* Presenting to senior levels of management.

* Providing occasional out of hours support.
* Ability to work autonomously. Successful applicants will be expected to have:
* An undergraduate degree.
* Excellent PC Skills with good MS Office skills.
* Knowledge of centrally deployed software.
* Knowledge of implementing logistics software.
* A good logical approach to problem solving.
* Some knowledge of the logistics industry.
* Knowledge of SQL and SAP Crystal Reports would be an advantage. In this important role, the successful candidate will work both from our office in Frisco, Texas. Following an initial training period in the UK, the successful candidate will be expected to travel extensively throughout North America. Occasional travel outside the US may also be required.
