GAINSCO Auto Insurance markets non-standard private passenger automobile products through retail agencies, inArizona,Florida, Georgia,South Carolina,New Mexico andTexasplace>. GAINSCO Auto Insurance has fully integrated insurance capabilities, including marketing, underwriting, customer service and claims handling. Our operations are bilingual (English/Spanish).Job Purpose: The Show Car Driver/Marketing Coordinator operates as a highly visible representative of the company during agency events and conventions, and plays an important role in portraying the corporate brand to our partner agents and the consumer market. This is a responsible, non-supervisory position with a high degree of autonomy and requires an individual with high energy and excitement. Responsibilities include transportation and management of GAINSCO’s No. 99 Show Car motorsports marketing display at industry trade shows and local agent events in the states where we market our policies. Our Show Car display includes an actual Daytona Prototype race car, virtual racing simulator, award-winning tradeshow booth, eye-catching truck/trailer transporter, and accompanying visual display materials. The Show Car Driver/Marketing Coordinator is responsible for delivering Show Car resources to required locations in a timely manner, as well as setup and teardown of each event. During events, the individual will serve as an enthusiastic, friendly, well-informed resource for partner agents and customers. Duties include strategy, logistics, planning, communication and other marketing details associated with scheduling Show Car appearances. Also responsible for operating and maintaining transportation vehicles contained in the Show Car program with a focus on safety and customer courtesy. Secondarily responsible for coordinating and assisting with other marketing activities, including social media, advertising, direct mail, printing and other ad hoc requirements. The individual will work closely with GAINSCO’s Regional Territory Managers and Marketing Coordinators to plan events, and will interface closely with the race team to coordinate equipment maintenance, travel schedules, etc.
% of Time Results Expected and Duties Performed
85% Manage the Show Car programby servingas mobile ambassador for the company’s product and brand, utilizing the Show Car and race sponsorship to build relations with customers and agents in local communities. Duties include: · Assist in managing the Show Car program, including the development of strategy, planning of events, allocations of resources, etc. · Deliver Show Car promptly and safely to scheduled locations, set up/disassemble marketing display, coordinate with local event staff regarding effectiveness and security of display. · Develop annual calendar of events and work with regional sales and marketing teams to schedule Show Car in sales personnel on Show Car program as needed. · Serve as positive, upbeat role model externally during Show Car events and internally to employee population. · Plan various routes and requirements, checking road conditions and estimating travel times. · Manage Show Car resources and activities during events, acting as an ambassador for GAINSCO’s brand, demonstrating energy and enthusiasm with event attendees. Spearhead lead collection activities during agent events. · Prepare vehicle by conducting operator maintenance, cleaning the interior and exterior, and coordinating maintenance/repair as needed. · Report on event outcomes, including marketing evaluations and employee newsletter. · Manage all DOT requirements, including maintenance ofaccurate and up-to-date records on a driver’s log, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, vehicle reports and other records requested by management and the DOT. · Update and maintain online and social media content related to Show Car and racing programs. · Establish marketing presence at various trade show events. · Manage and maintain Show Car event supplies. · Assist with sales connections and distribution of promotional materials, including distributing framed photos to agent participants and sending autographed collectibles to fan club members.
15% Support various marketing operationsby compiling, formatting, and reporting related information and materials. Assist with othermarketing initiatives as directed.
Requirements Required Behaviors: * Possesses the ability to transition easily between reading graphic maps, written directions and the physical environment. * Must be able to physically load/unload marketing display materials and set up display. * Has perfect attendance and can be trusted to handle a high level of responsibility and must adhere to tight schedules and time constraints. * Must maintain familiarity with DOT regulations associated with the truck/trailer and interstate transportation of a commercial resource. * Must maintain knowledge of race team’s history and standings, and be able to convey relevant information about the team to the agents and visitors. * May be required on occasion to handle the mechanical aspects of maintaining the Show Car and the truck/trailer used in its transportation. * Communicate with co-workers, management customers, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner * Conform with and abide by all Company codes, regulations, policies, values, work procedures and instructionsQualifications: Education:High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Advertising is preferred. Experience:Previous experience in an advertising, marketing or promotional environment is beneficial; previous experience with setting up marketing displays is highly recommended. Skills and Abilities:Sociable, friendly, outgoing and approachable to event visitors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills (MS Office), telephone skills, ability to manage own time; able to remain alert at all times while driving; must be able to transition easily between reading graphic maps, written directions and the physical environment. Other:Dallas, Texas location preferred.A valid driver’s license is required and a CDL is a strong plus. Must be able to demonstrate a clean driving record. Proof of driver’s insurance is required. Bilingual (Spanish and English) is preferred. Office Equipment and Software:Personal computer, wireless cards, telephone, cell phone, fax, scanner, copier, automobile, camera, MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook), Internet Decision making:Travel arrangements (i.e. when and how long to be on road), positioning of show car and other marketing displays at events. Requires strong attention to detail, including ability to follow up and confirm details with agent location and convention venues. Must be able to manage all logistics of appearance schedules and travel circuits of 1-3 weeks each. Interpersonal Communication:Must possess excellent interpersonal and verbal communication, with advanced communication skills and ability to deliver superior customer service at all levels of the business (employees, agents, media, etc.).
