Our client is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business located in Alexandria, VA. They provide high level network operation,security, and other IT services using experienced staff with extensive knowledge to accomplish its goal of excellent service.
They are looking for Senior Consultants (SharePoint/MOSS Developer) inthe DC Metro Area.
We are actively seeking a Senior Consultant with a passion for development. It would be preferable if a candidate has experience developing in SharePoint, however candidates with a strong dev background interested in ramping up in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) will also be considered. The successful candidate will work with our customers to empower organizations to innovate and gain competitive advantage through leveraging the .Net framework.
DUTIES:
In conjunction with MOSS development, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency with, or quickly learn, .NET architecture, design, coding, and debugging or have a willingness to learn. The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to develop a solution by mapping a customer’s business problem to an end-to-end technology solution. Each consulting engagement is customized to serve the client’s unique needs. The individual will diagnose and correct performance problems. The role requires a technically strong Consultant who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in development of solutions in a large scale environment..
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Debugging skills; ability to debug system-wide technical problems in unfamiliar areas.
• Ability to diagnose and correct performance problems.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to engage in executive and senior-level technology discussions
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Experience with requirements management tools (Doors, etc. – TFS)
• Experience with test management tools (HP Quality Center, etc. – Again TFS just started supporting)
• Experience creating and tracking defects in issue tracking tools like TFS, StarTeam, FogBugz, etc.
• Experience producing a requirements traceability matrix for testing.
• Experience testing web applications
• Experience testing web
• Experience using SQL to set up test data and to validate that application is producing correct data.
• Experience with automated test tools (WinRunner, LoadRunner,Quicktest Pro, etc.)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Understanding and experience with the .NET 2.0 and 3.0 framework.
• Experience with the C# programming language and object-oriented programming. Experience with Visual or other .NET programming languages is helpful.
• Understanding and experience with Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft technologies.
• Experience developing Microsoft Office based solutions (MOSS experience preferable).
• Experience developing database applications using SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000.
• Experience with Oracle or DB2 is helpful.
• Experience developing interoperable solutions with Unix/Linux and/or Java using web services, COM/Java interop technologies, and/or TCP/IP sockets is desirable.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science; or equivalent work experience.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
