Position Overview:
As a Senior Technology Consultant, you will provide post sales support leveraging exceptional technical professionalism to deliver technology and service solutions. You will be responsible for Network Architecture, Design, Consultation, Installation and Troubleshooting. This role is responsible for the delivery of Converged Solutions to business customers with a heavy emphasis on IP-Telephony.
Responsibilities:
. Engage the Project Manager and Sales Engineer in the Scope of Work review to determine the customer's technical and business requirements . Conceptualize, qualify, position and initiate complex/integrated technology solutions . Provide design alternatives and recommendations as required . Formulate and solidify detailed technical designs based on technical requirements . Communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences . Engage the customer and site contacts with utmost professionalism required of all TELUS customer facing representatives . Conduct field installations/engagements with full awareness of company best practices and customer implications . Establish a continuing relationship and rapport with the customer with the goal of establishing loyalty and follow-on opportunities . Complete all necessary documentation for handoff to the customer or the operational staff for Day 2 support . Maintain a working relationship with Operations, Sales, and Marketing as required . Develop and maintain knowledge of market developments and TELUS Marketing products
Required Knowledge:
. Engineering degree or technical diploma with demonstrated experience . 5-10 years engineering experience in telecommunication, VoIP, Wireless and/or IT industry . Demonstrated experience of the post-sales process - identifying and understanding customer technical needs relative to products and services . Understanding of UCCE and CVP architecture . Understanding of Cisco UCS

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
. Cisco CCIE certification in voice, and/or strong industry related experience
Required Experience:
. Demonstrated design expertise shall include Wide Area Networks, Local Area Networks, Internet, IP Applications, Hosting, Wireless, VoIP and Enterprise IT Application services in order to provide complete technical consulting . In depth knowledge of Data networking products, Complex data solutions, and network design including routing, switching, server, security, hosting and troubleshooting . Knowledge of Converged technologies including, but not limited to, VOIP . Knowledge of wireless technology including Wireless LAN . PC skills including Word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet . Ability to translate and communicate business opportunities into technical requirements
