The Senior Platform Lifecycle Manager for the Facets Applications team will be responsible for managing the technology lifecycle of the Facets platform and related technology components. In partnership with the Facets Senior Product Manager, Facets Application Architect and other IT/Business stakeholders, develop, implement and manage strategies to ensure predictable transition of technology components that comprise the end-to-end Facets environment.
Through the creation and maintenance of the Facets Technology Roadmap, and the process and governance to maintain it, the Senior Platform Lifecycle Manager will ensure that technology introduction and retirement are planned and managed with a multi-year outlook to best serve BSC's strategic objectives.
Working as a platform evangelist, champions BSC's interests with technology/vendor partners (TriZetto, HP, Oracle) and internally promotes use and investment to obtain requisite support and funding for platform lifecycle needs.
Builds and maintains strong partnerships with business/functional unit and technical stakeholders in order to drive alignment around the platform technology roadmap. Builds team capabilities/competencies in support of objectives leveraging industry best practices for managing complex core business administrative systems.
Creates the technology roadmap for Facets Applications. This includes developing and executing technology lifecycle strategies and plans that are consistent with the enterprise technology and business architecture strategy. Adjusts overall long-term technology vision and strategy based on continual assessment of internal, market research, competitive and customer data. Drive lifecycle plans that promote product scalability, stability, performance, extensibility and adaptability.
Works closely with key business and IT customers, stakeholders. Prioritizes new lifecycle and change requests to meet evolving needs into a cohesive lifecycle plan and communicates plan. Creates business case to justify investments.
Defines, designs and implements lifecycle management discipline/capability for Facets applications. Leads cross-functional teams consisting of business and technical stakeholders to define, develop and implement Facets applications technology updates such as Facets version upgrades and change pack updates.
Position reports to the Director of Facets Applications. This position is located in our San Francisco and El Dorado Hills, CA offices.

Requirements:
* DIAMOND, MetaVance), ERP or similar application supporting complex business processes in a health plan.
* 5+ years product management experience in the enterprise software development industry.
* Strong ability to translate business requirements managing complex business processes into clear, compelling, repeatable, easy-to-use software capabilities.
* Experience managing technology lifecycle.
* Experience with IT to business engagement and governance.
* Experience with software development lifecycle and development methodologies such as Agile, RUP, waterfall.
* Understands underlying technologies involved in building and maintaining health plan core business administrative systems.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
* Demonstrated ability managing complex projects with multiple work streams and tight timelines in a highly matrixed organization.
* Demonstrated experience representing company and product as subject matter expert with clients, sales prospects, and marketing events.
* Experience creating compelling business cases and financial analyses from thorough, fact-based research.
* Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and delivery against time and material and fixed bid statements of work.
* Ability to build strong relationships and drive alignment on difficult topics.
* Strong conflict management skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* 5 to 8 years of prior managerial level experience.
