Senior Oracle Web Systems Administrator
The Sr. Oracle Web Systems Administrator position is responsible for: * Configuring application servers (Oracle WebLogic and Oracle Application Server)* Creating automated code deployment strategies* Defining nodes and cells to create scalable and supportable Web architecture on the Linux platform Primary Duties / Responsibilities: * Analysis of problems in design, configuration, data flow, data state within a complex multi product provisioning or OSS system based primarily on java code running on WebLogic; AquaLogic BPM Service Bus* Lead efforts to build new application infrastructure including efforts across teams to facilitate solution implementation* Isolate and remediate issues impacting developers or testers working with other groups* Automate routine tasks and test automation destined for production use* Provide after hours support for code deployments, changes and general support / troubleshooting* Contribute design considerations for new products or architectural changes to existing products* Track bug fixes or patches ensuring timely deployment* Use industry best practices, with particular strengths in managing Web Services technologies* Implement Web standards and processes around various data center activities to measure performance, capability, and capacity* Define system needs and design* Create technical specifications and support documentation* Share information and advise other development and infrastructure effortsTo be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent* At least 5 years of experience configuring Oracle application servers* Experience with Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, and Outlook* Experience administering, monitoring and maintaining Apache Web Servers and WebLogic Application Servers* Experience as an Administrator with BEA/Oracle WebLogic Server 8.1, 9.2, and 10* Experience monitoring and maintaining infrastructure onsite as well as service provider sites* Experience coordinating projects with service providers and internal customers* Experience automating monitor and maintenance tasks using various scripting languages including Shell and Perl* Experience installing, configuring, tuning, and maintaining BEA and Linux Systems* Experience with the UNIX environment* Demonstrated communication and presentation skills* Ability to serve as an available point of escalation on a 7x24 basis Preferred Qualifications: * An Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field* Experience with JavaBeans, Java, JavaScript, and WebLogic* Experience as a Java Developer with experience working with JKD 1.6+* Experience with WebLogic 9 and Apache Web Servers* Experience as an SQL Programmer in Oracle; creating and debugging stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, etc.* Experience with Oracle SOA including BPEL and WSDL
