Performs a variety of responsibilities as a senior individual contributor engineer with high degree of competency in related engineering principles. Works independently with little direction on complex system performance. Performs analysis and relief sizing and time for Layer 2/3 growth. Capacity manages/engineers relief for port, bandwidth, memory and processor. Triggers hardware relief projects to Implementation Engineering and triggers facility order request. May serve as Project Leader and assist in supervision of less experienced Engineers. Produce current and future traffic forecast. Could manage Capital and/or expense budgets. Provides technical guidance and leadership. Supervises a group of project teams. Consultant Liaison for hardware, facility request and vendors. Provides technical expertise to Labs for and testing and Product evaluations. Supervisory NO.

- Advanced understanding of IP/Ethernet/WAN based Networks
- Advanced knowledge of best practices pertaining to Service Provider/Enterprise LAN/ designs WAN designs
- Broad Knowledge of Cisco/Juniper hardware

- Advanced knowledge of Layer 1 Optical/Electrical
- Advanced knowledge of Juniper/Cisco command line

Experience level requirements
4 year college, technical or telecommunications related degree and/or 4 years of level 2 Capacity management/Planning
Minimum 4 years Network Engineering experience with Service Provider/Enterprise
Juniper JNCIP preferred
Cisco CCNP
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient with MS office suite of tools
Excellent time management skills
