Position Description
Expedia Partner Services Group (PSG) is currently seeking qualified individuals for the role of Senior Market Manager. Reporting to the Director, Market Management, the ideal candidate will be a sales oriented self starter with an analytical mind.
 
 The Senior Market Manager position is an advanced-level sales and account management role responsible for growing revenue and developing sustainable long term hotel partnerships within an assigned territory. This includes consultatively negotiating favorable rates and inventory allocations with hotels and executing key initiatives that support Expedia's revenue goals and strategic objectives, while aligning with the hotels' needs. As part of Expedia's Partner Services Group (PSG), the Senior Market Manager represents Expedia's multiple brands in the market, and liaises with internal teams to strategically market the destination through Expedia's channels. The Senior Market Manager is a strong people manager and will have Revenue Specialists reporting to him/her. The Senior Market Manager is relied on by the hotel community as a source of guidance on market trends, and a demand driver for the destination. Reporting to the Director of Market Management, the ideal candidate will bring high energy, a solid background of success in hospitality sales coupled with analytical skills and business acumen, and an insatiable drive to win.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
-Developing and driving client interaction at the hotel property within the assigned territory
-Securing year round inventory and negotiating favorable margin levels within the assigned area
-Increasing and developing merchant hotel partnerships in relevant  secondary & tertiary markets
-Promoting and differentiating between Expedia's full suite of products and initiatives
-Negotiating and securing hotel promotions and special offers for merchandising campaigns
-Providing guidance and leadership in driving various distribution technologies at the property level
-Conducting timely performance reporting and evaluations to the assigned customer base
-Conducting regular meetings with various hotel suppliers face to face or using appropriate technology
-Evaluate market trends and competitor activity to guide strategic planning and tactical decisions
-Expanding the property level relationships to include various levels of management
-Supervising a team of revenue specialists 
 
What you can bring to the team:
 
-An Undergraduate degree or higher
-5+ years related industry revenue and sales experience in a fast paced, analytical environment
-Excellent understanding of revenue management principles and ability to match demand and supply
-Goal orientation and be a team player with the desire to exceed expectations
-You are a self starter, disciplined and are able to work well independently
-Strong written and oral communication skills including strong presentation skills
-Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas clearly, and appropriately influence others
-Intermediate/Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Word & Powerpoint
-Excellent ability to work with multiple contacts within one customer organization
