Major Responsibilities Include:
* Create design concepts for all media (i.e., print ads, packaging, website, P.O.P., logos, catalogues, consumer flyers, print collateral, etc.) * Create visual design branding briefs/booklets for all depts. * Create design briefs for freelance t-shirt artists, photographers, etc. * Responsible for all creative aspects of graphic communication including photography, design, and copywriting. * Challenge and innovate new methods of creative execution including print, audio, video, new photography, etc. * Produce graphic sketches, designs, and copy layouts. * Conceptualize and oversee execution of all projects. * Determine the size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy. * Select style and size of type and arrange layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts. * Evaluate the best ways to communicate and interface with customers and other target markets in conjunction with the graphic design team. * Check on product photography and review composition, color, and layouts. * Evaluate results based on understanding of goals and maintain consistency in direction. * Receive creative input and approval directly from the production manager and art director. * Present all visual branding concepts to directors, brand managers, and designated Brand Group. * Must finish all work on schedule (set by the production manager).
Qualifications/Education:
* A Bachelor's degree in design or related course of study or equivalent. * Knowledge of all design related programs and languages on Mac including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, and Quark XPress. * Knowledge of InDesign program is a must. * Strong creative background with experience in both tech related and traditional media including strong drawing and layout skills. * Must be highly motivated, possess good communication skills and have the ability to work together with the design team.
