Senior Financial Analyst
Title: Senior Financial Analyst Location: NJ-Princeton The Senior Financial Analyst- Banking is responsible to support Dow Jones' banking needs. The Analyst's primary duties are to ensure the Company's banking activities are accurately and timely recorded and reported. The Analyst reports to the Dow Jones' Manager- Banking and has significant dotted line responsibilities within the Treasury Department, as well as some reporting requirements with the Company's ultimate parent, New Corporation. This is a "hands-on" position and will not have significant staff support in carrying out the position's duties.
The Analyst will be a key member of the overall treasury team. The Analyst's specific duties will be based in part on the skill sets the Analyst brings to the team, as well as the specific needs of the team. As such, the Analyst may be called upon to perform functions in any of the following areas:
* Prepare and maintain cash position sheets and forecasts * Prepare cash requirements and daily reports * Monitor and maintain the Company's Treasury management systems, including Quantum * Monitor and review banking fees and transaction costs * Monitor and review credit card transactions and fees * Track foreign currency exposures * Maintain Company debt schedules and inter-company loan agreements * Liaise with global finance organizations regarding treasury matters * Assist the Manager-Banking with executing cash transactions * Assist the Manager-Banking with banking contacts and issue resolution * Cross-train with other Treasury Senior Financial Analysts and perform additional duties during peak times and vacation coverage
Potential Other Job Duties
* Liaise with the Accounting, Legal and Tax organizations on treasury matters, including compliance and reporting. * Maintain and support Treasury and Cash policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley key controls and related documentation. * Respond to relevant internal and external audit requirements, and regulatory inquiries. * Implement best practices and process improvement. * Contribute technical expertise to relevant project teams within Dow Jones.
Essential Job Requirements
* Willingness to perform detailed tasks. * Ability to work independently under specified objectives, and meet deadlines.? * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Problem solving and organizational skills * Proficiency in personal computer and software applications to include MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.? Experience with Quantum (the Company's cash management system) is a plus. * Ability to maintain positive professional business relationships, including building partnerships and communicating with management. * Background in banking, cash management, accounting and compliance, particularly with or in an international environment, a plus. * Project Management skills a plus.
Education and Experience Requirements
* Must have a minimum an Associate's degree in business related field. BA/BS a plus. * Minimum of five years of relevant experience in commercial banking and/or credit card operations. * Must demonstrate training, experience and competency in accounting, risk and compliance.
