Position Description:
Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating all developmental elements of SiriusXM’s entry into Telematics
Duties and Responsibilities: * Identifying the internal development processes within the organization that will be responsible for building out the SiriusXM telematics infrastructure * Working with senior operational management in identifying and assigning a core team responsible for executing or causing to be executed work processes specific to telematics * Working with external companies in the identification, assignage, tracking and execution of deliverables to SiriusXM’s master telematics schedule * Establishing, and distributing master schedules for each key telematic work flow elements and tracking of progress versus schedule on these elements * Position will act as the telematics core team leader and provide formalized feedback to GVP and GM of Infotainment services and Executive management on the progress being made against committed program deliverables * Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: * This position has significant supervisory responsibilities associated with it, though no direct reports. Success will be determined by the candidates ability to manage/motivate others to meet committed program deliverables, though those individuals will not report to the program manager. Minimum Qualifications: * BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience * Minimum 5 years of experience in project management preferably in technology oriented, mid to large company * 10 years experience of successful program management (program was implemented on-time to original commitment) within a mid to large company Requirements and General Skills: * Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, * Flexible management style that is comfortable in working in an environment that is highly cost and resource conscious * Strong ability to coordinate, motivate and track team activities versus commitments * Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels * Buck stops here - personal perspective on Program Management responsibilities * Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on commitments * Willingness to appropriately confront and bring into control tasks which have moved out of scheduled deliverable timing * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Good presentation skills * Strong organizational skills and attention to details * Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person * Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles * Must have legal right to work in the U.S. Technical Skills: * Good working knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Proficient in Microsoft Projects
