Summary: Catapult Systems is looking for a BI consultant for a full-time role. The candidate must be able to implement solutions in the Microsoft BI stack. This candidate should be able to help translate business requirements into a solution design and then implement the design. Candidates who have strong business analysis skills and can lead requirements and design as well as implementation would be a plus. Also desired is Project leadership experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to conduct demos and presentations for C-Level executives.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Participate with development team to develop data warehouse and business intelligence solutions utilizing the Microsoft BI product stack (Mainly SQL Server Analysis Services and SQL Server Reporting Services).
Data modeling based on business requirements, and optimization of data models for business intelligence implementations.
Maintenance of existing data warehouse and business intelligence implementations (involving SQL Server 2005/2008 tools)
Report Development including MDX query; Cube Development including MDX calculations.
Continuous focus and participation in developing and refining best practice for BI projects.
The candidate also needs to have solid database background to support t-sql/stored procedure development and optimization.
Candidate Mandatory Requirements:
Solid experience in Developing Reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (2005 or later)
Solid experience in Developing analytic cubes in SQL Server Analysis Services (2005 or later)
Understanding of data warehouse design concepts (Star Schema/Kimball)
Ability to provide support and enhancement to existing Enterprise Business Intelligence Platform built on Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server)
Expereince with PerformancePoint Services (Monitoring and Analytics)
Candidate Desired, but not Mandatory Requirements:
ETL implementation using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Advanced MDX Query
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
