We are seeking to hire a Senior Application Developer / Team Lead who will be responsible for architecture, development and maintenance for our Content Enrichment Platform. The overall objective is to develop technology that can intelligently navigate, collect, and monitor strategic business news, web information, and social media. The Content Enrichment Platform will allow Dow Jones to improve its lead position in the business to business (B2B) online publishing market. The Senior Application Developer will work with developers and act as technical lead, as well as work with other experts from across the company in areas such as natural language processing, artificial intelligence, information retrieval, search, system design and more.

Key Responsibilities:
* Working closely with business partners in design, prototype, development and support of intelligent information processing applications with primary focus on decision analytics using text mining and data mining technologies.
* Produce business and technical requirements, architecture and design specifications.
* Communicate system enhancement needs, leading the solutions implementation.

Qualifications
* Significant experience in the field of text mining, machine learning, natural language processing, text analytics, statistics or computational linguistics.
* Significant experience working with XML, XML schemas, XSLT, XPath, etc.
* Minimum 7 years of experience in architecting and building solutions using Java/Linux platform.
* Experience in design and coding solutions in C .
* Experience in producing business and technical requirements, architecture and design specifications.
* A deep understanding of best-practice architecture disciplines, modeling, processes and concepts.
* Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills are required.
* Masters in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or similar
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
