Were expanding our position in the market and growing our sales force! This position will add dimension to our Mid Markets segment and focus on leading a team of strategic sales hunters targeting complex solution sales into larger enterprise accounts.
Summary
The Sales Manager develops and ensures attainment of new sales/revenues and margin growth for Mid Market enterprise accounts (F5000 - F500) in the market which contribute to the Company’s bottom line. The Sales Manager will build & manage a team of hunter sales reps that drive new sales revenue and logo attainment to meet or exceed company revenue and market share objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Essential Duties * Hires and manages a multi-location sales team, including training and development, setting goals, monitoring and appraising performance and initiating corrective action * Drives execution of sales plans: sector strategies, hiring plans, territory management systems, and compensation plans * Develops and implements specific programs and account strategies consistent with the economic trends and environmental factors to position strategic products, strengthen competitive position, ensure client satisfaction, and meet/exceed sales objectives * Business owner of several key sales support processes including opportunity management and forecast management, the overall sales process, territory/customer-prospect module management and sales certification * Conducts accurate sales forecasting and achieve sales targets * Tracks territory performance and prepares appropriate pipeline/sales reports as required * Oversees and participates in programs that ensure the attainment of expense objectives, recommends programs to control and correct budget overruns * Develops and participates in initiatives focused on improving sales productivity and efficiency by working across the Sales Organization and cross-functionally across business groups within the Company * Identifies and develops new business opportunities with partner companies with complementary technology * Expands opportunities into untapped product portfolios and develops sales propositions * Communicates overall strategies and responsibilities to the sales team & support staff to drive productivity and ensures objectives are obtained Required Experience * 7 years combined direct sales, hunting, and sales leadership experience within the telecommunications industry * Direct sales experience in the enterprise market required * 3-5 years demonstrated sales management success in the telecom industry leading a team of telecom sales professionals solution selling IP, data, and voice network services in the local market territory- Required * Must have experience with core network services: IP, dedicated services, and carrier applications * Verifiable track record of consistent sales production and exceeding revenue goals * Demonstrated success in interviewing, hiring, motivating, and managing a successful hunter sales team * Experience developing and managing a region, assigning territories, and customer/prospect modules * Proven Account Planning strategy including: account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range account management strategies * Must have experience managing in a complex ordering environment with Siebel or similar quoting systems opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range account management strategies Preferred Experience * Strong personal leadership skills, including planning, goal-setting, resource allocation, objectives negotiation, team management techniques and group problem solving * Technical knowledge related to network and data design, product knowledge of both IP and dedicated services, and associated end user and carrier applications * Operational understanding of telecommunications ordering, provisioning and billing processes * Working knowledge of regulatory environment * Demonstrated leadership ability, people-management and mentoring
