Title: Sales Manager - Mid Markets Enterprise
Location: San Francisco, San Jose or Emeryville, CA

Were expanding our position in the market and growing our sales force! This position will add dimension to our Mid Markets segment and focus on leading a team of strategic sales hunters targeting complex solution sales into larger enterprise accounts.

Summary

The Sales Manager develops and ensures attainment of new sales/revenues and margin growth for Mid Market enterprise accounts (F5000 - F500) in the market which contribute to the Company’s bottom line. The Sales Manager will build & manage a team of hunter sales reps that drive new sales revenue and logo attainment to meet or exceed company revenue and market share objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Essential Duties
* Hires and manages a multi-location sales team, including training and development, setting goals, monitoring and appraising performance and initiating corrective action
* Drives execution of sales plans: sector strategies, hiring plans, territory management systems, and compensation plans
* Develops and implements specific programs and account strategies consistent with the economic trends and environmental factors to position strategic products, strengthen competitive position, ensure client satisfaction, and meet/exceed sales objectives
* Business owner of several key sales support processes including opportunity management and forecast management, the overall sales process, territory/customer-prospect module management and sales certification
* Conducts accurate sales forecasting and achieve sales targets
* Tracks territory performance and prepares appropriate pipeline/sales reports as required
* Oversees and participates in programs that ensure the attainment of expense objectives, recommends programs to control and correct budget overruns
* Develops and participates in initiatives focused on improving sales productivity and efficiency by working across the Sales Organization and cross-functionally across business groups within the Company
* Identifies and develops new business opportunities with partner companies with complementary technology
* Expands opportunities into untapped product portfolios and develops sales propositions
* Communicates overall strategies and responsibilities to the sales team & support staff to drive productivity and ensures objectives are obtained
Required Experience
* 7 years combined direct sales, hunting, and sales leadership experience within the telecommunications industry
* Direct sales experience in the enterprise market required
* 3-5 years demonstrated sales management success in the telecom industry leading a team of telecom sales professionals solution selling IP, data, and voice network services in the local market territory- Required
* Must have experience with core network services: IP, dedicated services, and carrier applications
* Verifiable track record of consistent sales production and exceeding revenue goals
* Demonstrated success in interviewing, hiring, motivating, and managing a successful hunter sales team
* Experience developing and managing a region, assigning territories, and customer/prospect modules
* Proven Account Planning strategy including: account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range account management strategies
* Must have experience managing in a complex ordering environment with Siebel or similar quoting systems opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range account management strategies
Preferred Experience
* Strong personal leadership skills, including planning, goal-setting, resource allocation, objectives negotiation, team management techniques and group problem solving
* Technical knowledge related to network and data design, product knowledge of both IP and dedicated services, and associated end user and carrier applications
* Operational understanding of telecommunications ordering, provisioning and billing processes
* Working knowledge of regulatory environment
* Demonstrated leadership ability, people-management and mentoring
