Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Tempe, Arizona,Fujitsu Semiconductor Wireless Products (FSWP), is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Semiconductor Limited in Japan. FSWP develops RF transceiver products for cellular handsets, and more than 140 design engineers are working on RF transceiver IC design, architecture, validation, verification, and reference designs. The group is also working on the next generation of products with engineering samples already available on a multimode WCDMA/EGPRS/LTE transceiver with a 4G DigRF interface.
The department is responsible for ensuring that our organization manufactures RF Transceiver Devices and supporting Firmware that are compliant to all specifications. The RF Transceivers include an ARM7 core plus associated peripheral blocks control the operation of the transceiver. Sequences and timing are under firmware control. The Firmware Regression team is responsible for providing test support to ensure that all firmware delivered to our worldwide customers meets all quality and performance standards.
The position of RF Systems and Line-up Engineer will be heavily involved with the implementaiton and optimization of receive and transmit line ups on a highly complex RF transceiver platform. The individual will work with with analog and digital teams to create and implement strategies and controls for receive and transmit portons of the transceiver. The person will work in the lab and through simulations to optimize the line ups for performance, power and specification compliance.
The person being considered for this position should possess the following skills: Solid understanding of modern communications systems, including frequency synthesizers, receivers, transmistters, and Digital Signal Processing. Able to understand low level code for embedded systems in C, C , or assembly. Ability to work in a lab environment for debugging. Familiarity with cellular radio telephony standards and mixed signal simulations a plus. Enjoy working in a fast paced development environment working on diverse and complex problems. 5-10 years experience BSEE Min, MSEE preferred
