Quality Engineer ManagerNTS is currently looking for a full-time Quality Engineer Manager to work in its Centreville, VA office. This position will build a strong foundation of resources that are qualified to support all of our customer?s tactical and strategic needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Management of Competency/Capabilities of field inspectors, engineers and auditors (National and International)
o Represent company in industry meetings and participate in industry working groups
o Lead the development of new capabilities to meet the company?s and Customer?s tactical and strategic needs
o Customer Engagement to identify industry and customer challenges and create solutions
o Innovate and Develop new products and capabilities
o Develop training processes and materials for field inspectors, engineers and auditors, training of these individuals.
o Responsible for all field personnel?s technical assessments, review of qualifications prior to submission to customers
o Support day to day organizational processes and customer needs
o Review corrective actions, root cause, preventive actions from customers and internal sources
o Participation in proposal responses and execution plans
o Ability to address our customers in person and via phone calls, occasional presentations to customers and field personnel
Requirements:
Required Experience:
o 5-10 years of experience
o Education & Industry
o Bachelor?s degree in engineering discipline
o Aerospace and/or Defense Industry
o Management
o Management & leadership of Technical Staff in Matrix organizations
o Management & Leadership of remote (field) resources
o Management of organizational competency processes
o Leading process improvement projects
o Technical
o Compliance to Industry Statutory and Regulatory Requirements (FAR, DFAR, etc.)
o Quality experience in Mechanical, Electrical and Software technologies and processes
o Technical or Quality experience in engineering, project management, supply chain management and product/process quality
o Quality Methods & Tools
o Aerospace ? Risk Management, Configuration Management, Project QA, Key Characteristics, 1st Article, etc.
o Other Technical Industries ? APQP, FMEA (design and process), APQP, PPAP, MSA,
o Standard Quality Tools ? Root Cause Determination, Improvement Tools (6-Sigma, Lean, etc.)
o Participation on industry working groups and standards development
o Quality Systems, ISO 9001-2008, AS9100, Mil-Std?s
o Operational Support
o Blue print reading
o Able to perform quality systems audits, source inspections, product audits, special process audits
o Professional, have effective Leadership, Management, and Communication skills and be able to work independently in matrixed work structure
o Possess good analytical and report writing skills
o Willing to travel
License/Certification Requirements:
o Preferred, CQA, CQE, RAB or ANAB
o Any and all certifications will be considered a plus
