Project Manager / Scrum Master
Our client, located in New York City, is seeking a Project Manager to act as the Scrum Master in a project management role using the Scrum Agile methodology. Responsibilities: * Serve as a project manager with overall project management for software development activities as a Scrum Master using the Scrum Agile methodology* Work closely with management and developers to ensure coordination of overall software product delivery* Manage assignment of tasks throughout the development and testing effort* Manage a team of on-shore and off-shore, on medium to long-term engagements* Project plan creation, management of project scope with client, issue management, overall management of project in an effort to meet profit objectives and minimize loss, management of change control process, sizing of change requests, and impact to current deliverables * Review business / functional requirements completeness* Ensure overall quality of software development and implementationThe following skills, knowledge and experience are required for this position unless noted otherwise: * Experience in applying Agile and Scrum project management techniques to solve business problems* Progressively responsible project management experience including leadership on projects with an emphasis on cross-platform, client-focused, web and ecommerce projects* PMI (Project Management Institute) Certification is a plus* Ability to manage project resources, and handle situations with internal and external clients* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in technical and business context with all levels of management* Ability to maintain a perspective on global issues as well as the detailed aspects of the project* Experience with Web Communities, Social Media, Content Management Systems and/or, financial services are all pluses
