Posting Job Title Production Coordinator Requisition # 121286BR Location United States - California - Palmdale Area of Interest Television/Programming Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description Time Warner Cable's Los Angeles Division is currently seeking a Production Coordinator who will be based in our Palmdale location. Below please find a description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
POSITION SUMMARY: In conjunction with the Production Supervisor, responsible for coordinating and providing video production support for day to day production activities in the Time Warner Cable Original Programming Department (PEG Franchise Compliance). Ongoing initiatives include news production, Sports additional TWC 3 Programming as well as assigned "So Cal 101" programming and internal and external employee communications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: .Perform all production aspects of departmental initiatives .Coordinates all aspects of studio and remote production, daily news program, talk shows and others. .Direct and Technical Direct live programming, such as a daily news program inserts .Direct and Technical Direct multi-camera event productions .Edit news segments, programming and PSA's using Final Cut Pro and linear editing systems. Produce ENG and studio segments as needed for company sponsored or municipal programming. .Learn and operate on-air program server. .Work with fellow production department personnel to create unique and interesting program content. .Produce ENG and studio news segments for company sponsored news initiative. .Write scripts and on-air copy as needed for various programs. .Successfully complete all programs and projects under strict deadlines. .Demonstrates the operation of various studio, remote broadcasting, and office equipment for studio employees including, but not limited to, portable cameras, videotape recorders, video switchers, edit suites - both analog and digital, audio mixers, character generators, lights, mics, etc. .Engages in positive public and community relations when representing the Company within and outside the production facility. .Continuously keeps production skills current with technology and industry standards; develops production and business knowledge through on-line and company provided training courses. .Abide by established policies and procedures to achieve departmental efficiencies and maximum output. .Performs other duties as required and assigned by the Production Supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: .Two years television production experience required. Production experience directly related to ENG and studio production, as well as PEG, sports or broadcast news operations required. .Associate's degree in Communications, Broadcast Journalism (or related field) or equivalent experience preferred. .Work experience in news or cable television environment preferred. .Working knowledge of production and playback operations and procedures. .Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro non-linear editing systems required. .Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays. .Must be computer proficient, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro. Must be able to operate general office tools such as computers, printers, copiers, calculators, telephones, fax machines, etc. as well as sports and broadcast news operations required. .A demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads and effectively handle multiple assignments with minimal supervision is necessary. Good analytical and organizational skills are needed. Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed to interface effectively with staff, management, customers, vendors and various other internal and external parties. .Must have valid California driver's license with good driving record.
