Product Manager HVAC

Product Manager Summary

Determine specific products; manage their design, development and profitability; promote and improve market position of products; recommend marketing programs and product portfolio enhancements; evaluate competitive products; and cooperate with all division groups to enable a profitable product line.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Manage a rolling 3-5 year product plan and integrate into the Product Development Process (PDP.)
Manage project teams through all stages of Product Development Process to assure marketing objectives and complete projects “on-time.”
Recommend product sales objectives, price, terms, discounts, allowances or other specific sales policies applicable to assigned product.
Conduct customer sensing to obtain objective design feedback and critical market trends.
Communicate and rationalize through business case justification new product opportunities, with supporting information on growth possibilities (Product Design Requirement Agreement (PDRA.))
Continuously review performance of assigned products. Compare to plans and objectives. Report performance regularly with emphasis on deviations from plans and actions taken to correct any deviations.
Insure the completion and development of information that will currently and correctly reflect product progress. Make timely recommendations as to the continuation of abandonment of products.
Continually review the product line for possible standardization, modification, new applications, and recommend the addition or deletion of products in the line to maintain a competitive sales position and avoid obsolescence.
Coordinate with the Marketing Communications and Sales Departments in development and promotional activities and in the preparation of literature and other sales tools relevant to the product line.
