The Editorial Operations Team ensures that users have the best experience when visiting the Yahoo! network. The team is part of the Spanish Editorial team and works very closely with all the Editors to increase user experience and engagement within the different properties. He / she will be responsible for delivering operations that are critical for the day to day success of the Spanish team; these include product launches and global roll outs, localization and QA needs, product enhancements, bug filling or fixing and prioritization as well as project management of various Editorial initiatives that are critical for the Editorial team.
Key Responsibilities
· Drive and support global product rollouts and launches by working closely with all the relevant departments across all markets · Support and maintain content acquisition and quality by implementing new feeds and cooperating with Yahoos' many content providers · Build the best and most relevant user experience, by ensuring that the properties are all running smoothly and any necessary enhancements are implemented. · Instruct and tutor Editors when any changes occur on the properties. Provide ongoing support and regular training sessions to ensure that the Editors are comfortable with the daily functioning of the site. · Provide input and support for Product Marketing Managers and Product Managers, Visual Designers, Web Developers, Software and Hardware engineers on any new products, tools or features that are key for editorial · Support editorial production activity in the markets, including local events specials, features and sales specials; from project management to delivery · Provides input for the correct functionality of editorial and programming tools on a daily basis · Test and support all product and feature launches in liaison with the Product and Business operations teams · Provide insights and support around editorial publishing enhancements for the Editorial team · Bug filling and fixing for any operational issues · Works closely with the Social Media Management to ensure implementation and distribution of Social Media features · Support SEO activities across all properties · Editorial Operations represents the bridge between Yahoo! Engineering and the Editors responsible for the different properties.
Requirements · Experience with web content and product operations · HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL and Java Script knowledge · RSS-Feed and Social Media insights · Project and program management demonstrated capabilities · Efficient delivering processes · Localization and QA experience · Interpersonal skills to manage and relate with multiple teams with different objectives · Excellent and proven organization skills and attention to detail · Must be able to work within a cross-functional team environment and have previous project management experience with proficient MS Office, excellent organizational, interpersonal, and influential communication skills · BS/BA or equivalent is required · 3 years of related experience in programming or editorial related disciplines
