Parsons has the people and power to move the world. Need Parsons has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Project Engineer in Northern California, working out of our San Francisco office. The successful candidate will oversee and manage ongoing projects on the state highways, local roads, and new transportation corridors. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Caltrans project development process and have a proven track record of managing and delivering projects. Experience and interest in business development and client service management is also important.
With well staffed offices in San Francisco, San Jose, Walnut Creek and Sacramento the successful candidate will be a part of a strong team, committed to continue our growth in the region. This position has tremendous growth opportunity. The successful employee could quickly transition to a stretch assignment in Project Management for the cutting edge projects that this Northern California team has been proven to win and continues to pursue.
Qualifications: • 4-year degree in Civil Engineering required
• 15 years of Road/Highway Design and Project Engineering/Management experience, with at least 10y successful R&H project experience in the Bay Area Counties and California Central Valley required
• Solid grounding in design, with the proven capacity to provide technical leadership
• California PE registration is required
• Highly technical - ie. tolling, communications, BRT - project experience very desirable
