FSWP develops RF transceiver products for cellular handsets, and more than 140 design engineers are working on RF transceiver IC design, architecture, validation, verification, and reference designs. The group is also working on the next generation of products with engineering samples already available on a multimode WCDMA/EGPRS/LTE transceiver with a 4G DigRF interface.
Development of RF/IF transceiver IC's and subsystems for wireless market
Job description: * Work on the early definition of strategic technologies: expectation of providing proof of concept simulation and lab work * Model state of the art wireless transceivers and carry out system simulations * Provide guidance in RF/IF transceiver lineup analysis * Work closely with RF/IF circuit designers during system definition * Participate in pre-sales and post-sales support of key customers * Ideal candidate has experience in mixed signal modeling and specification, including digital, analog and RF subsystems * Experience with one or more wireless lineup system simulations/analysis such as Matlab, Simulink, SPW, ADS/Golden Gate, and/or Excel * Excellent technical presentation, verbal and writing skills are required * Expectation is of a strong team player that thrives in cross-domain teams (analog/digital/RF/firmware) * Familiarity with wireless standards such as EGPRS, (W)CDMA, TD-SCDMA and LTE (or other OFDM) modulations is required * Knowledge of 3GPP Rel-8 to 10 specifications is desired * Ph.D. or Masters in EE or equivalent and 8 years experience
