We are seeking a Principal Architect for the Professional Services organization in Richardson, TX. This position requires a highly motivated individual to support the practice development initiatives for revenue growth, delivery excellence, cost management, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
* Provide technical leadership for high powered development team focused at OSS adapter development and integration. Accountable for quality development and on-time delivery of code to Q/A. Create all development schedules and coordinate with Q/A for testing schedules. * Assure version control for all adapters and EMS and NMS applications integrated. * Directing the software engineering function in developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications/operating systems within the organization. * Work with Fujitsu customers to provide vision for integration of Network Management Systems (NMS) to Element Management Systems (EMS). Capture customer requirements and create Technical Requirements, Functional Requirements and Business Requirements documents to support the creation of High Level and Detailed Level Design Documents. * Identifying the appropriate software architecture based on given requirements and design elements contained in a specification. * Leading the review process for software architecture documents. * Ensuring the overall integrity of the program's software architecture and validating it against the system requirements. * Lead the development process and interface with Q/A during the requirements, coding, test, release and acceptance processes. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; Master's degree is a plus. * 15 years experience in one or more of these areas: Telecom OSS, Software Engineering/Development, Software Design Engineering and Software Quality Assurance. * Working knowledge of XML/SOAP, TL1, SNMP, CORBA, TMF Standards, JAVA, C , HTML, Linux, Windows. * Domain expertise for IP, Wireless (fixed and mobile). * Experience with database products such as Oracle. * Successful history of developing OSS products and adapters. * CMM and ISO 9000 process background required. * Business acumen. * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Proven ability to lead software development team. * Multi-vendor OSS products expertise preferred including but not limited to IBM Netcool, IBM Proviso, Netcracker, Infovista, Cramer, Granite, Remedy and EMS from FNC, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Ciena, Juniper and others. * Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. * Travel as needed to support customer projects.
