Premimum Messaging Consultant
• Bachelor Degree with emphasis in Telecommunication, Technology - Application, or Project Management
• Minimum of 2 years direct work experience in project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution. PMP certification is a pluc.
• Strong familiarity with project management software such as Accolade
• Competent and proficient understanding of platforms such as SMPP, SMSC, MMSC, Billing Systems, etc.
• Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies
• Strong vendor management skills - able to enforce VZW business rules and policies
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a real-time and dynamic environment
• Experience writing marketing requirements and responses
• Strong Analytical skills in developing Executive Summary and Presentations including trending graphs, tables, etc.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team or independently
• Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities
• Strong problem solving skills
• Must be able to identify and escalate potential issues as well as implement recommended solutions
• High Technical aptitude is a plus
• Deadline orientedThis position will report to a Manager - Premium Messaging (PSMS) in Product Development and Management (PLM). The role is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within approved budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of VZW internal team members and external vendors to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives by writing requirements specifications and oversee quality control through its life cycle.
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents. Work with internal and external teams to develop, test, and launch according to established milestones and schedules.
- Conduct project post mortems and create a lesson learned report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
- Present VZW new ideas, business policies to VZW internal teams for consideration; identify trends, opportunities and challenges; Conduct Operational Reviews with management and vendors
