Post-Production Technical Internship
You are a person who enjoys the technical side of tv/film production and post-production. Tearing open a computer to troubleshoot or re-installing an OS doesn't phase you and you're pretty handy with a screw gun. You have the knowledge and vocabulary to work side by side with creatives giving them the information and support that they need. Working on-set, on-location and on- deadline gets your adrenaline flowing and brings out your best work and ideas. You realize that it's impossible to know everything and you're always learning.
We're not looking for industry experts but we'd like you to have a working knowledge of video standards, compression and computers. That means we'd like you to have above average abilities in some or all of the following: Mac & PC computers, IP based networking, FTP, RAID arrays, SAN and NAS technology. We use a number of tools: Avid, FCP, Adobe CS5 are just a few of them (we figured we'd catch your attention with the big ones). We'd like you to help us get images from the camera into neatly organized and efficient data for post.
Job duties will be varied and will include assisting us in: prepping & building rental systems, configuring gear for on-location operation, interacting with LA based clients in support & integration roles, keeping track of inventory and maintaining equipment, media management and transport of files.
