Overview:
The Photographer/Image Specialist performs a variety of image tasks including photographing merchandise, retouching, color correction, archiving and naming images, image output.
Key Accountabilities:
Photograph merchandise.
Retouch images including removing imperfections, correcting color and creating composite images.
Work autonomously while retouching to achieve desired critical image quality of in-house photography.
Prepare, name and file images according to production specifications.
Partner with account executive team to build project schedules and consistently meeting established deadlines.
Maintain a photography archive accessible to the entire creative team.
Ensure all images are properly optimized and sent to the site.
Skills Summary:
BA/BS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
2 years photography and retouching experience in a digital print and/or web environment
Highly motivated self-starter
Experience in retail is a plus.
Knowledge of photography techniques including lighting and composition.
Styling skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to adapt to change willingly.
Strong verbal and written business communication skills.
Intermediate-level proficiency in Photoshop, CaptureOne and Excel.
Familiarity with Illustrator and InDesign is a plus .
Understanding of color management.
Ability to learn new technology.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work with a variety of imagery including women's and men's apparel, home goods, shoes and accessories, jewelry and more.
Interest and knowledge of fashion a plus.
