Below are the requirements and qualifications for this position: Job Description:
The Network Security Firewall Engineer designs, develops, deploys, and maintains enterprise boundary security solutions. He/she analyzes network traffic using a variety of network tools to assess security-related events and develops solutions accordingly. The engineer will interface with peers and officials in the national intelligence community, DoD, and industry to discuss and report on specific aspects of network security and information sharing to support the development of solutions, policies, and/or procedures regarding network design, implementation, and maintenance. He/she may also provide work direction and guidance to other personnel to ensure accuracy of their deliverables. * * Must reside in or be willing to relocated to Washington DC, Maryland , NoVA region * Must possess active TS/SCI clearance through NSA with lifestyle polygraph * Security/Firewall engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in developing and implementing complex network solutions. * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Experience with the NSA governance and EA MDLC process a plus. * Experience with Brocade (Foundry) or Cisco required. * Must have the ability to design solutions using the following network protocols: Spanning Tree, TCP/IP, IPv6, OSPF, Multicast, VOIP, QOS, and BGP. * Will be required to gather, organize, and analyze technical information as requirements; and develop solutions, develop strategic plans, and perform implementations. * Must be able to work independently and in technology teams; and possess good communication and technical writing skills.
