National Sales Manager (Sports Media/PR/Broadcasting)We are currently searching for a National Sales Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the national sales team and national sales revenue. Duties include managing daily communication with the national sales offices; monthly market trips and national sales calls; developing packages, updating the shared drive and emailing updates on network properties; overseeing the National Sales Assistant; preparing weekly national revenue forecasting and reports on proposed contractual sales; and performing various other duties, as assigned. This role is based in Irving, TX. Responsibilities: Develops packages, updates the shared computer drive and emails updates on various network properties. Prospect for new business, create new ideas to facilitate client on air desires, set client meetings and make presentations. Oversees the National Sales Assistant regarding pre-empts, production and sales elements, invoicing and air checks Prepares weekly national revenue forecasting and reports on all proposed contractual sales agreements. Service existing accounts; including, but not limited to, updating clients on network products, success, ratings, research, network promotions, follow up call, and entertainment. Work with the traffic department to resolve traffic related issues within deadlines and standards procedures. Manage receivables. Responsible for accurate weekly, quarterly and annual forecasts as well as reaching quarterly goals for new business, existing business and any special project assignments. Maintain presence in the ad community and attend sporting events which may involve commitments outside of the standard working hours. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications. A minimum of 4-6 years sales experience is necessary with prior advertising sales experience preferred. Prior advertising agency experience is a plus. Excellent organizational and project management skills are required. Strong knowledge of program ratings methodology is necessary. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is needed. A demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective business relationships is essential. Strong interpersonal skills needed to interact with clients. Strong follow-up skills. Efficient follow-up on leads and/or call in is required. Ability to work varied hours, local and national travel required (ie: entertain clients in evenings and weekends at sporting events, etc).
