Job Description :
If you'd like to join a dynamic company, Sunrise Greetings has an opening for aNational Account Manager! This position is located inBloomington,IN. Sunrise Greetings, a subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Inc., is seeking aNational Account Managertoto drive sales for Sunrise Greetings in the assigned channel of trade. The National Accounts Manager is responsible for the development and execution of category management and sales development programs to increase wholesale and retail revenue.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
* Develop, establish, and maintain a strategic business alliance with all business partners, including assigned chain headquarter management, buyers, advertising/promotion, and merchandising, to promote a long-term partnership with Sunrise Greetings.
* Develop effective account management plans for national accounts to ensure proactive customer account management.
* Communicate and coordinate regularly with internal business partners in Product Development, Distribution, and the Sales and Service Center to improve customer acquisition, service, and retention.
* Manage, develop and implement sales programs and initiatives for assigned national accounts, including category management, contract, in-store service, trade development, execution and implementation strategies.
* Perform behind-the-scenes analysis of retail sales, turn, and effectiveness of both Sunrise and other greetings products to truly category manage the business.
* Monitor the external environment and competitive trends to identify new products and service opportunities.
* Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans to meet and exceed all financial goals and measurements including wholesale, retail and EBIT goals.
* Communicate sales program initiatives and operational execution information to chain personnel, key internal personnel, Hallmark service personnel and others as needed.
* Manage projects internally across all Sunrise functions to ensure programs and initiatives are successfully developed and executed across their full lifecycle.
* Lead the development of technology linkage between Sunrise Greetings and assigned chains.
Skills / experience required:
* Bachelor's Degree required, preferrably in Business Management or a related field.
* 5-7 years Business Development and sales experience, with a proven success record of managing national accounts. Previous management experience preferred.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Internet, and sales automation software management, such as Oracle CRM or other CRM packages.
* Excellent written and oral communication, including negotiation and presentation skills.
* Ability to work with people at all levels and across all functions; excellent rapport building and partnership skills.
* Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
* Skilled in new product or new business development, research and development, marketing research, engineering innovation, etc. Possesses a track record of successful new product and service-based business development.
* Strong financial acumen, analytic and math skills.
* Change agent, self-confidence, competitive, energetic, decision maker.
* 30% Travel required.
