Media PR Manager, Global Industry (Sports Media/PR/Broadcasting)
SUMMARY: Our company seeks a cycling enthusiast with professional PR and media experience to plan and execute the global endemic promotion of our brand and our products.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning and organizational skills
Proven leadership ability
Detailed knowledge of cycling industry: the product, the companies, the sports
Ability to see media opportunities and quickly capitalize on them
Eagerness to nurture excitement about cycling in general and our brand in particular
Ability to operate at a high level in an evolving and fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to have fun riding all kinds of bikes!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Creation and implementation of global industry media PR strategy, including events
Assist in the creation, tracking and reporting of PR annual budget
Regular phone, email and in-person interaction with cycling media
Create, tailor and deliver appropriate pitches (product, athletes, celebrities, etc.)
Timely delivery of product and information to press
Manage editorial database
Creation of media kits
Regular pursuit of new contacts
Tracking and quantifying print and digital press coverage
Represent at our various events, which will include weekends
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in communications
Five years professional PR and/or media experience
