Supply Chain & Operations professionals help clients develop strategies and operating models that integrate planning, procurement, product design, manufacturing and fulfillment functions within an organization, as well as connect suppliers and customers across the extended supply chain.

As a Management Consulting Consultant, you will be at the core of understanding and responding to our clients business challenges. You are likely to be involved in a range of activities from assessing a clients business capabilities to conducting business transformation activities.

Responsibilities include:

Business Transformation Delivery

  • Conducting industry and client research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Gathering and documenting clients current business processes, people and technology capabilities and requirements.
  • Performing financial assessments to support the development of new business processes and architecture.
  • Designing, developing and delivering new business processes, capabilities and supporting technologies.
  • Developing communications, training and job aids to support change management activities.
  • Executing the testing and implementation of new business processes. Leading a small team to execute project components to scope, schedule and budget.

    Client Relationship Development and Management

  • Delivering client presentations and facilitating meetings and workshops.

    Practice Building

  • Supporting the growth of the practice through assisting with new business proposals and presentations, recruitment activities, coaching and mentoring to analysts.

    Accenture is looking for experienced people to serve in our NA Energy Operational Effectiveness practice. This practice provides a wide range of business consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing services to our energy clients. These clients are those which produce, refine, market and trade refined petroleum products. Examples of the types of services that Accenture provides to our clients in this area include:

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of relevant functional experience in Refinery Planning and Scheduling.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Refinery Oil Movements Management / Dock Scheduling
  • At least 3 years of experience in Crude/refined product (gasoline, diesel, fuel oil) supply planning
  • At least 3 years of experience with scheduling and logistics (marine and pipeline), Refinery Maintenance Management and Energy Management.

    Preferred Skills

  • Refinery Maintenance Management
  • Energy Management
  • Understanding of US Downstream Product Markets
  • Understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Advanced Process Control
  • Systems implementation in a refining environment
  • Yield Accounting / Mass Balance
  • Refining Application Systems integration
  • Software selection, and understanding of commodity trading operations at company and market levels
  • Strong Project Delivery skills
  • Strong industry relationships
