Specific Line of Business



This is an individual contributor role responsible for working with external and internal partners & systems to manage automation of marketing data between SASPlex, iSeries and Bacardi and W. It requires interaction with MDS team mates as well as across multiple business partners to aide in determining the best process and solutions. Key functions involve automation and consolidation of marketing data into one platform (Beacon) from several internal and external platforms. This individual will play a key role in shaping the future marketing data environment.



Strong relationship building, organizational, cross-divisional coordination, follow-up, and negotiates skills are critical for success both vertically and horizontally. Candidate should be able to work under minimal supervision and balance priorities. Typically requires 7+ years of experience.



Amount of travel required will depend on the associate's office location



The Market Information Consultant CP (TeraData) is responsible for::

• Marketing Data transfers (Bank systems - MDP & other systems and Epsilon - ADM and HL&I SQL Servers) across all LOB products. Primarily responsible for creating Stored Procedures, UDF using BTEQ and Unix Shell scripting to ultimately build campaign marts and manage data transfers between platforms within the bank and third party Business Partners in the Teradata platform
• Responsible for data integration between BACARDI (DB2) and Beacon (bank systems)
• Work very closely with MDS team members and other technology partners to create and implement processes using BASE SAS and scripting to automate data transfers.
• Responsible for production support activities and performance improvement
• Ensuring systems and data integration of all marketing data within the customer information management (CIM) multi-generational initiative

General Description

This position is primarily responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining marketing segmentation and campaign universes across all Line of Business using Teradata platform. Marketing Data transfers and automation of processes between internal bank platforms and external business partners is a key functionality and responsibility for this job.

Required skills (must have)

• 5-7 years experience in Unix and mainframe
• Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in Tera Data technology
• Must be very strong and knowledgeable in Tera Data SQL and BTEQ & Unix scripting
• Must have experience in C or C++
• 5 years hands on experience in creating Stored Procedures, UDF in Tera Data
• Excellent organizational, documentation and follow- up skills
• BA/BS Degree or equivalent

Desired skills (nice to have)

• Prior experience within bank systems like W, Bacardi and SAPlex is a plus
• Knowledge in JIL Scripting (AutoSYS )
• Project management experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment
• Hands on experience in BASE SAS, Proc SQL
