As Manufacturing Test Engineer you will be responsible for defining test strategies, analyzing and improving testability for new products, and delivering test solutions to our manufacturing partner. You will work closely with Design Engineering and Program Management to introduce new products on schedule.
You will develop a wide range of test software ranging from device drivers to PC-based monitoring systems that will prevent defective products from reaching our customers. You will provide direction to mechanical engineers, PCB designers, and technicians to develop custom test fixtures and PCBs.
You will design and implement test processes to support current needs and allow for future growth. You will introduce test processes at off-shore contract manufacturers, monitor functional test yields, resolve production issues, and initiate corrective actions and cost reductions.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years experience developing functional test software for sophisticated embedded systems, preferably including IP networking, digital and analog audio and video * Proficiency in C/C++, LabVIEW, TestStand, and scripting languages * Fluency with Linux and Windows * Experience developing board level and system level functional test fixtures and circuit boards * Proven problem solving skills * Experience supporting an overseas electronic manufacturing facility * Solid understanding of electrical circuits with good troubleshooting skills * Working knowledge of ICT, Boundary Scan, bench test equipment, and data acquisition systems * Basic knowledge of cameras and lenses or other optical-mechanical systems. * RF communications test experience is a plus * Results-focused, team-oriented and a strong work ethic * Bachelor Science Electrical Engineering, or equivalent years of industry work experience. Masters preferred but not required. * Able to travel international approximately 20% * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment independently or on small teams * Ability to plan short and long term projects * Self motivated individual
