Will function as point person for our Hispanic Network's programming properties with various external partners - including leagues, rights agencies, and event organizers. The position will also require consistent communication and interaction with all internal departments (Production, International Programming, Ad Sales, Finance, Marketing, Research, Legal, Affiliate Sales and Marketing, Web and Digital Media).
The position reports to the Vice President, Programming and Business Initiatives for our Hispanic Network and is based in Bristol, CT.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Manage existing partnerships with leagues, promoters and rights agencies.
This includes finalizing contracts and ensuring the strategic implementation of rights across all of our Hispanic Network's platforms (TV, radio, mobile, website and publication).
Identify and pursue new content opportunities
Responsible for tracking competitive sports programming and ratings
Support the evaluation of proposed programming acquisitions
Assist in the management of the our Hispanic Network's rights and production budget, including strategic planning and providing updates to Finance.
Travel required to meet with rightsholders and production personnel
Basic Qualifications
Bilingual - Spanish and English required.
Minimum of 5 years experience in negotiating content agreements, programming
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of the international sports marketplace, especially soccer.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
Excellent oral/written communication skills.
Required Education
Four year college degree in Communications, Business, Sports Management, or other related field.
