Universal Music Group and UMLE are seeking a Manager of Operations, New Business Development in our Woodland Hills - Canoga location.
BASIC FUNCTION: - Oversee and manage multiple Universal Music Latin Entertainment artist advertising campaigns - Oversee and manage multiple Universal Music Latin Entertainment artist Non Recording Income rights
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and implement TV advertisement campaigns that serve to market product and build mass consumer awareness. o Communicate material requirements and creative deadlines to internal departments. Produce TV spots and secure their approvals for Standard Practices o Issue weekly, quarterly and yearly insertion orders o Daily update of insertion orders based on changes from networks o Quarterly conciliation with vendors of fulfillment of insertion orders and negotiate 100% fulfilment o Cost calculation of campaigns and artist royalty charge back where applicable o Iteration with top management about different scenarios for campaigns and its corresponding costs o Time spent: 80%
- Oversee and manage multiple Universal Music Latin Entertainment artist Non Recording Income rights o Collect from artists the income from Non Recording Opportunities (NRO)in a timely manner o Provide estimates of NRO for internal evaluation of releases o Report on collection progress and estimates for the near future o Time spent: 12%
- Attend internal operational meetings o Time spent: 8%
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Develop and deliver media plans utilizing all appropriate media in accordance with label marketing objectives and target audience, in a timely manner.
Secure all business affairs and financial approvals prior to booking any chargeback.
Act as liaison to make sure all creative specs and deadlines are met.
Achieve financial goals in collecting NRO from artists.
RESPONSIBILITY: Report to Executive Vice President, Brand Partnerships, Business Development & Digital
Failure to perform planning and ongoing functions effectively would have serious repercussions in the marketing, creative and financial areas, such as missing media deadlines, incurring overtime and/or unnecessary production charges by supplying incorrect traffic information and/or creatives, damaging internal and external advertising relationships.
