Manager, Broadcast Operations
The Manager, Broadcast Operations for the Sports TV Network will be responsible for working with a broad range of internal and external contacts to ensure that operations needs are met for the successful transmission of broadcast of often high profile live events. Under the direction of the Director, Broadcast Production, the Manager, Broadcast Operations will schedule editors and editing as well as internal and external facilities for outside packages.
- Schedule videotape highlight AD's for studio programming.
- Assist Directors with weekly studio responsibilities for NFL, NCAA, and independent productions.
- Assist the Director, Broadcast Operations in securing technical personnel, transmissions and required communication for single camera, on location shoots for live studio and tape segments.
- Coordinate and provide domestic and foreign broadcasters with formats, control rooms, personnel and transmission information as well as coordinate and furnish billing information for all foreign broadcasts.
-Facilitate payroll submissions and scheduling for the virtual technology graphics enhancements (PVI).
- Facilitate coordination of Multi-Channel Distribution Platform, providing formats, transmission and necessary communication for monitoring commercial cues.
- Facilitate payment of invoices for voice and data telecommunications (domestic and international)
- Work with Sports Programming, Program Practices, Affiliate Relations and Sports Broadcast Operations departments to ensure video and audio delays during major sports events requiring live entertainment.
- Prepare weekly schedule for all transmission test windows and contact information.
- Coordinate with the Manager, Production Services with all outside packages, which include booking satellite time, support personnel and required broadcast center facilities.
- In lieu of the Director, Broadcast Operations, provide weekend officer coverage during less demanding times of the year.
