CenterStaging, A SoundCheck LA Company, is the premier rehearsal facility specializing in production and tech support for television and live performances. Known for its state-of-the-art rehearsal studios and extensive range of musical instruments, CenterStaging's backline gear is used on practically every major television show, as well as, numerous tours, concerts and live events.
Job: Live Audio Technician
Hours: Flexible, must be willing to be on call evenings and weekends.
Requirements: 1. Previous live audio experience. 2. Understand signal flow. 3. Read stage plots, input lists and production riders. 4. Understand wireless systems. 5. Ability to operate analog and digital consoles (Venue knowledge preferred) 6. Self-starter and ability to work independently. Some shifts require working alone. 7. Ability to interface with high profile clients.
Responsibilities: 1. Set up and strike rehearsal rooms. 2. Wire inputs and outputs. 3. Move audio systems, including: console, speakers, amplifiers, feeder cable, microphone stands, rack gear and cases. Lifting 50lbs+ and bending is required. 4. Load equipment into trucks. 5. Soldering repairs and minor maintenance. 6. Fill orders for onsite and offsite rentals. 7. QC audio equipment. 8. Provide customer service. 9. Assist with backline and riser set-up.
